In order to use WeatherPlot you must first login. After entering your username and password click on the "Log In" button.

Your username may either be your email address or an agency or company name. If you've forgotten your password, click the "Set/Change Password" button to change your password. See Changing your Password (below) for details on the procedure.

The login form provides the option to "stay logged in on this computer". Selecting this option means that it will no longer be necessary to type in your username and password each time you return to the site, as so long as you use the same computer and do not expressly "log out" of the system. This option is provided as a convenience and is best used only if you return to this site often and the computer is not shared with other people. Meridian takes every reasonable precaution to insure your account data remains safe and secure. If the account owner fails to also take reasonable precautions, Meridian is not responsible for unauthorized account usage. Please review Meridian's Terms of Use before enabling the "stay logged in" option. You are responsible for all actions made by your account.

Changing your Password

To change your password, or initially set a password on a newly created account, use the "Set/Change Password" button on the login page. This will take you to a page that will set a new password for your account. Since this procedure is also used to assign passwords to new accounts, we cannot simply mail you your password. Also, putting a password in an email is insecure, our process for assigning a password is just as simple but more secure.

The first step is to enter your username. If you entered your username on the "Login" page that username will be preserved. Once your username is in the form click the "Email My Code" button to generate an email that will be sent to you.

By sending you an email we verify that you are authorized to change the password on the username specified. Each username has an email address associated with it. (In fact, most usernames are the user's actual email address.) We send a special code to your email address that verifies that you have access to the user's email. This code will remain in effect for a few days.

Once you receive the email you have two choices of actions:

In the email is the code, a number, that you enter in the form for "Step 3".
In the email is also a URL that you can simply click on that will bring up the "Set Password" form with your username and your code already entered.

Now all you have to do is pick a password and enter it in twice. As you enter in your password you won't be able to see what you type, instead of seeing your password asterisks will be printed instead. In order to make sure that you have correctly typed your password, you have to verify it by typing it in again.

Finally, click the "Set Password and Login" button and your new password will be set and you will also be logged in.
