It is impossible to know for certain what tomorrow's weather will bring - but shouldn't you be equipped with the information needed to make informed decisions about how yesterdays weather impacted you or your product?
WeatherPlot.com was developed exclusively to serve the needs of agribusiness. With WeatherPlot™, field-level historical weather information is always just mouse clicks away. Although you can't control the weather, you can plan for it, and limit your exposure to future losses from it.
WeatherPlot.com brings you the benefits of huge government investments in weather and environmental monitoring. The WeatherPlot™ database is constructed through careful scientific analysis of data gathered from:
The scientific data integration process used in WeatherPlot™ provides reliable high-resolution (2 miles or less!) snapshots of the weather across the contiguous U.S. each and every hour, even in remote areas. Data can be downloaded in both hourly and daily "summary" formats.
Benefits:
A WeatherPlot query is accomplished in three simple steps:
You may choose to retrieve hourly weather information or daily summary information. Query duration lengths are limited to 15 days of hourly data or 365 days of daily data in a single request.
You may enter a latitude and longitude in either decimal degrees or D:M:S formats. If you do not know the specific latitude and longitude of the location of interest, a convenient mapping tool is provided.
You are allowed to append up to XX characters of descriptional information that will be included in the data returned. This may be helpful in tagging the relevance of each individual query in the data that is returned.
Once you've completed these three simple steps, just confirm your selections and submit your query. WeatherPlot™ will then search Meridian's WISARD database for the data you have requested. This process may take several minutes if a long time period is requested. Once the query is finished, WeatherPlot™ will return a table containing the query results. You will also be presented with several additional viewing options, including a graphical meteogram format and a CSV file for export into external applications or databases.
